Individual physical therapy care begins with a comprehensive assessment of strength, flexibility, balance, coordination and functional abilities. Together you will establish specific functional goals and a plan of care to achieve those goals. Treatment sessions will take place at Deb’s office at 17 Research Drive, or at your home.
Under the guidance of Deb Ellis, PT, clinical specialist in neurologic physical therapy, participants in Western Massachusetts will learn exercises and problem solving approaches to managing daily mobility and self-care issues which often interfere with function and quality of life. Deb provides individual evidence based PT for people with Parkinson's disease. Deb also offers group programming where participants will learn a comprehensive exercise and balance program they will be able to safely continue on their own after the 6 week program ends.
Deb Ellis provides consulting services and inservices to rehabilitation departments, professional organizations, support groups and to professional staff in various health care settings. Customized clinical inservicing focuses on neurologic rehabilitation and mobility-based topics.
